Direct Freight Express, a Family Owned Australian company is the Australian Leader in Business to Business logistics.
A position has come immediately available at our Campbellfield Depot for an experienced Maintenance Technician servicing the newly completed automated sortation equipment.
This position is on our day shift working 10.00am to 5.30pm with applicable over time.
This position provides a real opportunity for passionate people to take ownership and make a difference.
Key responsibilities include;
- Developing and following planned maintenance activities;
- Diagnosing faults and proactively managing breakdowns of equipment or process failures;
- Identifying opportunities and activities which improve plant and equipment, reliability and efficiency;
- Conduct and participate in root cause analysis of breakdowns and/or process improvement;
The successful Candidate should have;
- Good Computer Literacy, with well-developed written and verbal communication skills;
- Be self-motivated and reliable with a positive attitude;
- Able to adapt to changing demands;
- Understanding of Safety systems and processes including Risk Assessments, incident reporting and planned inspections;
- Able to work both independently and within a close knit team.
- Hold a current vehicle licence;
- An Electrical Trade Qualification is a clear advantage;
Experience with Automated Systems in the logistics or warehousing environments is desirable, although is not essential.
The successful candidates will have a responsibility and personal commitment to the operation and maintenance of the equipment in their care.
