My client is a Global Rail organisation and they have a fantastic contract opportunity for a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to be part of their fantastic new project.
The position is very much a hands on engineering position that would require you to be on site everyday in the thick of the action.

Role

• On site supervision of system installation by subcontractors
• Interface with the customer construction managers and subcontractors supervisors
• Manage and resolve all project installation and operational issues with the team and work closely with the Installation Manager to ensure completion of the project.
• Promote a Safety culture where all personnel have an understanding of the Safety, Health and Environmental Plan and operate rigorously in accordance with it.
• Liaise with the Installation Manager on Scheduling update
• Ensure the installation subcontractor is operating within the contractual obligations / constraints / requirements/etc.

Essential Criteria

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
• Minimum 5 years' experience in rail or similar
• Demonstrate ability to manage a strategic project with multi-disciplined nature;
• Possess current or able to secure Rail Industry Safety Induction (RISI) qualifications;
• Self-motivated;
• Conflict resolution skills;
• Display strong analytical ability;
• Strong time management skills;
• Excellent communication and organisational skills;
• Valid NSW Drivers Licence; and
• Familiarity with CAD software, MS Office Suite and Project.
