Quality Assurance Officer

Situated in Adelaide's northern suburbs location.
Lifestyle Bakery is a long established and market leading company providing a unique selection of high quality gluten free bread and baked goods. We are now seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to join our growing team.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, key responsibilities of this role include the following:
- Assist with planning, developing and monitoring continuous quality improvement activities
- Assist both Technical and Production Managers to conduct, host and manage internal and external audits of company operations whilst maintaining all data records
- Manage all investigations and implement corrective actions
- Collect, analyse and summarise information relating to failed processes, recalls etc.
- Ensure all processes comply with both national and international industry standards
- Undertaking basic lab work as required
- Undertake and monitor staff training in QA matters
- help with assessment and maintaining the company's Quality Systems
The successful candidate will have the following:
- A good understanding of Good Manufacturing Processes
- Previous experience in quality assurance within a food manufacturing environment desirable
- Thorough understanding of and the ability to implement and maintain Woolworths Supplier Excellence Program, ALDI, CFMSR and SQF food standards
- Knowledge in quality management systems & Microsoft Office Suite
- Good interpersonal & communication skills and ability to liaise at all levels is critical
