Reporting to the Manufacturing Director ANZ, the Manufacturing Excellence Manager is primarily responsible for the implementation of process improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, service delivery and to create a continuous improvement culture within the business across nine sites based in Australia & New Zealand.

The primary areas of responsibility will span across:

  • Provide strong leadership to the ANZ Manufacturing Excellence & Technical Teams
  • Champion Continuous Process improvement, change culture and quality service delivery across Manufacturing
  • Lead and execute various projects / initiatives, which are based on the framework of Business Process Improvement of manufacturing excellence, entailing projects ranging from mid-sized process improvements to major business transformation initiatives
  • Build effective relationships, influence and motivate sites to ensure their commitment to the achievement of manufacturing excellence
  • Periodically review the manufacturing processes to identify risks, plug the gaps, implement Quick fixes on process issues, update procedures and share best practices to actively participate in the improvement of overall manufacturing
  • Ensure manufacturing processes are in compliance with established policies as well as regulatory standards.

The experience and skill required for the role:

  • A tertiary qualification in business and a related discipline
  • Specialisation in Lean Six Sigma would be advantageous
  • Substantial experience in a leadership capacity within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lead, plan and manage change
  • Strong analytical skills combined with a high degree of commercial awareness and the ability to contribute to the strategic development of the business as a whole
  • Experience with driving cultural change throughout an organisation
  • Communication and Influence - able to communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders
  • Innovation and change – the ability to spot opportunities to improve service and deliver on these.

This role is a full-time, permanent position based in Melbourne, VIC but does require regular travel to New Zealand.
