We are currently looking for a highly-motivated and enthusiastic warehouse storeman. The successful applicant needs to be an articulate, well-organised professional to handle a range of tasks that will assist with the operation of our Head Office in Bulimba.  

We are looking for a bright and bubbly person who thrives working in a fast-paced environment where no task is too small or too big. 

About the Opportunity
In this role, you will continually be challenged, continually busy and showcasing your experience. An integral role within the business, this is a permanent position.

Your day to day responsibilities would include;

• Ensuring Customer orders are fulfilled promptly with 100% accuracy e.g. picking, packing and booking freight
• Load / unload deliveries and customer orders as required
• Conduct stocktakes and manage stock organisation within the warehouse
• Ensure stock is stored and handled with care at all times
• Maintain accurate inventory, including movements between our Brisbane and Sydney warehouses
• Develop and implement efficient inventory management procedures
• Following warehouse policies and procedures and improving them when necessary
• Effective use of resources
• Use drills and other tools associated with basic equipment assembly
• Heavy lifting through safe work methods
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the workplace

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in warehousing roles
• A positive ‘Can Do’ attitude
• The ability to work well within a team and promote a positive and dynamic culture
• Organisation skills based around the 5S Strategy (Set in Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain, Safety)
• A willingness to stay long term and grown within the company
• Ability to work under a high pressure environment
• Competency with computer based systems and freight booking
• Flexible and reliable in relation to work hours
• Ability to work both independently and in a team when required
• Sound problem solving ability
• Capacity to deal with various and often conflicting priorities
• Sound problem solving ability
• Practical hands-on attitude. Electrical or mechanical experience is beneficial.
• Current drivers and forklift license
