We are on an exciting journey at our Moorebank baking facility, a 24/7 operation based in Moorebank, which produces a range of iconic Goodman Fielder brands. As a result of continued investment in the business, we are commissioning an automated breadroom picking facility, the first of its kind in Australia. We have an exciting opportunity available for a Team Manager within our Supply Chain department to lead our team on the AM shift (3:00am - 3:00pm on a seven day fortnight Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday).

About the opportunity:

Managing teams of up to 15 people, this role will see you collaborate with a range of different teams across the site. This role will be responsible for assisting with the change management associated with the new automated machinery within the breadroom facility, embed new ways of working with your teams, and continually improve our operating procedures over time.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing a team responsible for operating highly automated CIMCORP picking technology
  • Adjusting production run schedules or line haul departure times accordingly
  • Liaising with key stakeholders regarding shortages or delays
  • Mentoring, coaching, training and developing the team
  • Managing the crewing, rostering and supervision of the Distribution Team
  • Driving improvements in service for improved outputs
  • Maintaining standards and compliance to current cost levels
  • Driving a safety culture within the team

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of Operations experience
  • Desire to grow your career within the Supply Chain and Logistics industry
  • Aspiration to lead, develop and grow the Team Members performance and culture
  • Preferably a background in Distribution, Logistics & Supply Chain
  • Passion and commitment around continuous improvement
  • SAP experience
