We are currently looking for a  Spare Parts Planner  to join our clients team in the Homebush Area.  This is an ongoing role that will be mainly working in the purchasing but will also have exposure to the planning 

Your daily duties will be but not limited to :    
 
• Responsible for production purchasing 
• Requires heavy interaction internally, with manufacturing / sales team and externally, with customers and suppliers.                   
• Drive best practice planning and procurement processes and activities across the organisation.
• Ensure DIFOT, Inventory and Cost Improvement KPI are achieved.
• Factory production planning, scheduling, MRP, sourcing and purchasing
• Planning lead for the S&OP process
• Preparing daily/weekly/monthly production and procurement plans
• Sourcing suppliers; processing and follow up purchase orders
• Measure production/labour efficiency to optimise resources and minimise cost
• Meet stringent deadlines. Ability to work in a high pressure role;
• Customer focus to achieve DIFOT
• Inventory management
 
The successful candidate will need the following experience : 
 
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in Purchasing. Experience in the field of electrical/electronic/industrial manufacturing is desirable but not necessary.
• Significant factory manufacturing experience and familiarity with planning and purchasing processes as well as maintenance of bill of material (BOM).
• Understand supply chain management and where purchasing/planning fits;
• Strong systems experience, SAP Business One desirable.
• Exposure to S&OP, ERP and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are also desirable.
• Hands-on, hardworking
• Speaks good English with effective communication and negotiation skills. 
• Ability to speak mandarin an advantage but not necessary.
