Our manufacturing plant is located in the heart of South Gippsland only 40 minutes from Pakenham and Warragul, an hour from Frankston and just over an hour from the CBD.
We have a genuinely exciting opportunity for an experienced Inventory Controller to join the Burra Logistics team. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will undertake a key 'hands on' Inventory Controller role and be instrumental in maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity. You will have strong communication and problem solving skills. You will be open minded and take on a hands on approach to the role.
Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Weekly Reconciliation of Korumburra Warehouse inventory including periodic full stocktakes and regular cycle counts
- Stock adjustments when required
- You will be required to assist the Logistics Team Leader in planning the daily timeslots for movement of product to our 3PL Cold Store
- Liaise with relevant functions to determine required action for questionable stock, present information and action as approved
- Physical stocktake and reconciliation of pallet accounts
- Oversee the pallet movements online and investigate as required
- Analysis of inventory data
- Work efficiently and effectively both autonomously and in a team environment
- Periodic cycle counts and reconciliation of external warehouses
- Coordinate material transfers between locations, both intra site and inter site as required
Skills and experience required;
- Proven warehouse inventory integrity experience in a similar role - preferably from within a FMCG, Distribution, Manufacturing, or related industry.
- Strong computer skills including, advanced skills in Excel are important
- Strong management of inventory with ERP/WMS.
- Detailed analytical reporting.
- Highly developed problem solving skills.
- Influencing skills – an ability to analyse data and provide meaningful and effective recommendations to stakeholders.
- Able to work autonomously and be a flexible team player.
- Must have forklift licence and forklift experience
