Applicants should have:
- a sound knowledge of shipping operations
- be well versed in all matters pertaining to ship husbandry and agency functions
- MSIC holder preferred for this role
Do you have the necessary skills to make a difference? This is a unique role that requires a sound commitment to this hands-on position that includes general operational support in all areas, including vessel boarding on a regular basis plus relevant documention requirements. This is not a normal 9 to 5 role with work outside of normal office hours and weekend rostering being part of this role.
The postion requires you to work closely with the Port Manager to assist in the coordinating of activities and services; assiting with the responsibility of optimising the operational output of the office to reach the company's common goal of providing exceptional service to customers.
Applicants must have:
- strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Good communication and coordination skills
- A desire to foster and work within a team committed to service
