Casual position available as a Courier Driver for Mater Pathology. Excellent customer service and drivers licence required.

About the role
Mater Health Services has an exciting opportunity to join the Pathology Department as Courier Driver on a casual basis.  As a Courier Driver, you are the face of Mater Pathology to many surgeries and pick up destinations, meaning your customer relations background and friendly demeanour are always on show. The successful candidate will be required to work most Saturdays, occasional Sundays and be available to cover annual/sick leave where needed during the week.

Salary Range: $24.85 - $26.95 (Operational Officer Level 2) per hour plus superannuation and casual loading

What you’ll be doing

This role requires you to transfer patient specimens and clinic stores between various Mater locations. You will be required to provide an effective and professional courier service for customers of Mater Pathology by following protocol for safe handling, transporting and distributing of specimens and maintain the Courier Vehicles.

About you

To be considered for the role you must have: 

• An open Driver’s licence (mandatory)
• A positive and mature customer-focused attitude
• Availability 7 days and flexibility in your finishing times
• Excellent communication skills

Previous customer service experience would be highly advantageous.

You will be required to think on your feet and be able to problem-solve autonomously to achieve your goal of completing your daily run in a safe, respectful and courteous manner, always mindful of the precious cargo you are carrying.
