Site Production Manager

Devro Pty Ltd is seeking a Production Manager responsible for overall leadership of all Production activities on the Bathurst site.

Key Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Deliverables

• A member of the site Leadership team responsible for establishing overall site goals and priorities within a broad leadership role, with strong focus in promoting and ensuring good Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) in every aspect of our business.
• Accountable for ensuring Production equipment is safe and well maintained.
• Responsible for leading a team of Production line Managers and a department of over 100 colleagues to manufacture product that consistently meets customer expectations and internal quality standards.
• Responsible for ensuring all Production teams are trained and capable of performing their roles as specified.
• Responsible for driving a culture of accountability, collaboration and excellence within and beyond the Production Team.
• Responsible for continually improving plant performance and efficiencies through effective governance, controls, communication and application of Continuous Improvement methods.
• Responsible for pro-actively identifying and implementing best practises within Devro.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required

• The job holder requires a minimum of 5 years direct management experience in a production environment.
• Formal Technical qualifications would be preferred (Engineering or Science).
• Proven track record of leading large teams, improving team engagement and delivering results in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have excellent communication, inter-personal and organisational skills.
• Strong problem solving and Continuous Improvement skills would be preferred.
