Do you have LASER CUTTING EXPERIENCE? If your experience has been laser tube cutting or similar, and have worked on Trumpf trulaser we want to hear from you! We are currently seeking the expertise of laser Cutter Operator to join our client in Mulgrave.  We are looking for suitable candidates who have had previous experience in laser cutting as well as exposure to the Sheet metal industry to join their busy team on a casual basis (full-time hours) in view to permanent employment after qualifying period.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:

AFTERNOON SHIFT:  Monday to Friday 3pm-11pm 

• 2+ years or less experience working with  Laser Cutter or similar i.e Trumpf, Amada or similar laser cutting machines 
• Operate the laser cutting machine and other machinery used in the production process, or assist other machine operators. 
• Select and set up lenses based on material type and thickness, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment
• Solid background working with sheet metal
• Knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance
• Proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills.
• Ability to distinguish material types including Aluminum, Steel, Stainless and Steel
• Must be reliable and responsible
• Good knowledge of CADMAN software (advantage)
• Available to start immediately 
• Excellent work ethic
• Strong attention to detail
