We are currently seeking an experienced NV1 Deputy Program Manager of the Global Supply Chain to join our team. Reporting to our Program Manager you will act as the main in-country focal point for all things supply chain and work closely with the Centre for Defence Industry Capability (CDIC) to help develop strategies, requirements and resources related to the supply chain agreement. You will also work closely with the Program Manager to help drive improvement and change within our supply chain.

Day to day responsibilities of your new role will include:

  • Represent the Company and create a strong and supportive relationship with the GSC Agreement customer
  • Identify Australian supply chain opportunities for the Northrop Grumman Sectors 
  • Act as the primary in-country focal point to build strong customer intimacy with the Centre for Defence Industry Capability (CDIC) customer and identify and develop CDIC strategies, requirements, and resources related to GSC Agreement initiatives for export opportunities and Small and Medium Enterprise competitiveness  
  • Key Account Manager for Australian supply chain partners as the focal point for all activities undertaken in accordance with the GSC Agreement, including its implementation for current and future projects
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and working relationships with other AUS Government stakeholders relevant to AUS Defence Industry participation such as CASG and State Governments
  • Support and advise Sectors on Australian suppliers and industrial capabilities relevant to NG needs
  • Support the identification, development and implementation of Corp/Sector Chief Technology Office (CTO) R&D collaboration opportunities
  • Support and advise the Australian CE on Industrial Participation strategy and implementation      

To be successful in this role you will need the following essential skills:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business development, sales or marketing, supply chain, or engineering.
  • Project Management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to create and manage strategic supplier relationships.
  • Proven business development success, from: prospecting for new business; shaping business development strategies; prioritizing pursuits; and winning deals.
  • Strong interpersonal-relationship and communication skills with the ability to explain supply chain and industrial capabilities in simple terms.
  • Hold or have the ability to gain an maintain an NV1 security clearance
  • Financial acumen in relation to bid and proposal development.  Understanding of P&L management.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in Manufacturing or supply chain management and an extensive knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand supply base if preferred.
