This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Machine Operator to join Visy Board, Truganina.

Visy is a leading, privately owned packaging and resource Recovery Company, with more than 120 sites across Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and Vietnam and trading offices across Asia, Europe and the USA.
The main objective of the role is to Operate state of the art machinery and associated equipment to meet agreed production, service and quality standards.
This position reports directly to Shift Supervisor.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Working on the state of the art machines
- Ensure equipment is correctly maintained; and that maintenance is performed to keep machines within specifications and in Safe working order.
- Automated machine operating, truble shooting and quality checks
- Operate Strapping line and associated equipment to meet agreed production, service and quality standards.
- Be fully conversant on all aspects of the Strapping line and associated equipment.
- Maintain Safe work and operating practices; maintain a high standard of housekeeping during production, at shift end and at scheduled maintenance.
- Regularly review work processes and assist in identifying improvements to process and procedures.
- Ensure a high level of safety and housekeeping is maintained at all times
To be considered for this role you will need to have the following capabilities;
- Excellent Communication Skills are a MUST
- Computer literate
- Be an excellent team player
- Have demonstrated machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous Forklift Experience -highly regarded but not essential
- Prior Fibre Packaging industry knowledge - highly regarded
- Ability to work a 2 week rotating roster: Day shift - 7am -3pm / Arvo shift - 3pm - 11pm
