About the business and the role
Orange Hire, is a rental company providing traffic and plant equipment to the civil construction industry. We are hiring a HC Truck Driver based out of our Orange depot to operate our tilt tray and plant trailer on a full time basis to deliver and collect our hire equipment across regional NSW. This position is available for immediate start.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the position is based at our Orange, NSW branch, where the truck will be parked overnight. The successful applicant would be responsible for deliveries and collections within Regional NSW. This is a full time permanent position.
Standard hours are Monday to Friday between 7:00am – 5:00pm, this may vary depending on workload. Some weekend work may be required. Some overnight stays may be required.
What you will need to succeed:
- The ability to work both in a team and unsupervised.
- Experience with earth moving plant and machinery, must be able to load/unload and manage attachments for our fleet of equipment.
- The ability to carry out tasks and manage time and resources with efficiency and safety as paramount.
- Minimum HC Driver's Licence with proven safety record and minimum two years' experience in regional driving.
- Experience in the civil or hire industry (highly regarded)
- Current "White" card (or willingness to obtain before appointment)
- The ability to identify and report all hazards and risks, promote safe work activities and comply with all WHS requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of load restraint methods, lifting and loading methods and all relevant transport laws and regulations
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail
- Good customer service and attitude
- Physically fit and healthy (as the role may require some heavy lifting)
- Forklift licence is essential
- Rigging and dogging tickets are an advantage
- Must be willing to undergo a police check, Pre-employment Medical Examination, which will also include D&A Testing if successful
- Must provide a recent copy of their RMS (driving record) report if successful
