About the role

Based in our Port Melbourne office, the  Supply Chain Manager will lead, and take responsibility for ensuring effective and efficient management of the end to end supply chain for our business. Encompassing the leadership and management of the Sales & Operations Plan process (S&OP) through the business. Ensuring the weekly and monthly meeting cycle (Demand Review, Supply Review and S&OP) are effective, efficient and timely. Using the S&OP process and own expertise to create a rolling sales forecast which will be used to drive the supply plan and the financial forecast monthly. You will also work with Production, 3PL logistics and shipping partners, manage the supply and inventory levels of finished goods (and componentry where relevant) and ensure that these are systematically allocated and delivered to our finished goods warehouse and customers in the right quantity, on time. Getting it right the first time in the most economical and timely manner is key.

Desired Skills and Experience

To be considered a strong candidate for the role you will be able to demonstrate the ability to:

  • Minimum 3-5 years previous experience in a similar ‘end-to-end’ role, ideally within retail pharmacy based cosmetics, personal care categories or FMCG.
  • Proven experience managing and improving a S&OP process within an SME, ideally with demonstrable improvements in forecast accuracy, inventory management and customer services levels
  • Ability to lead and own the Supply Chain function
  • A strong bias towards inventory management supporting a high-growth business with a diverse customer base,
  • Ability to operate within the limits of agreed budgets, deadlines and targets.
  • Solid understanding of import process and procedures from China and export to USA/Europe
  • Experience with demand planning principles and ability to work with Excel based planning tools
  • Advanced MS Excel and analytical skills
