Seasonal Supplies is a cookie distribution company, which sells product to over 30 countries. True to our name, we specialise in seasonal offerings.
The Logistics Coordinator role is responsible for processing and placing orders, liaising with forwarders and carriers and communicating with clients. They will be required to work closely with our factory in Indonesia and sales team located around the world and in different time zones. Additionally, the role is suited for a self-starter who can work remotely, solve problems and be proactive.
The position is for a contractor working about three hours per day, five days per week. This workload does vary due to the seasonality of the business and generally increases from June to November every year.
The Logistics Coordinator role would include:
- Liaising and communicating with customers (retailers and wholesalers) worldwide
- Processing orders to factory
- Following up on order requirements
- Using Shipping Documents supplied by the factory, preparing invoices and other documents for forwarding to customers
- Assisting in order planning and control
- Knowledge of and familiarity with EDI
- Communicating regularly to factory located in Indonesia.
To be considered for the role, candidates should have the following skills:
- Previous experience in freight forwarding and/or logistics
- Self-starter, able to work remotely
- Ability to be hands on when needed
- Extensive knowledge of EXO software (or similar)
- Able to edit PDF, use Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Strong ability to use Excel to analyse data
- Have cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Ability to lead/consult to staff from remote location.
