We are currently seeking a number of experienced Machine Operators/2IC to join our busy food manufacturing client located in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne. This role will involve working as an integral part of a team on fast-paced production lines performing a range of duties including operating machinery and general production work.
Immediate position, working on Night shift.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Supervision of staff
- Setting, preparing and operating machinery
- Maintenance of machines
- Ensuring efficient productivity on the line
- General production labouring as required (including packing & sorting of products)
- Quality control
To be eligible for these positions you must meet the following criteria:
- MUST have previous Machine Operating experience ideally within a similar industry
- Knowledge of HACCP and GMP
- A good mechanical/technical aptitude
- The ability to use different hand tools and ancillary equipment
- A high attention to detail and the ability to problem solve
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Have a positive attitude and be able to work well in a team
- Own reliable transport (essential)
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including your own pair of safety shoes (no lace), High Visibility Vest and appropriate Work Wear
This is a great opportunity to work for our reputable food manufacturing client on a 6-month contract with the potential of permanency for the right candidates.
