Manufacturing Process Operator – Night Shift

With manufacturing plants in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth supporting 16 branches nationally, we offer a comprehensive range of products and services from the design and supply of complete conveyor solutions through to service, installation maintenance and diagnostics services.
 
Based in our Revesby factory, we have 2 positions available for Permanent Night Shift manufacturing process operators. Here we make solid woven conveyor belting mainly for underground coal mining applications.  
 
Safety, quality and continuous improvement are key and specific requirements include:
 

• Operate industrial Looms, creels and warping beams to manufacture of solid woven fabric.
• Identify and rectify minor machine/equipment faults, reporting problems that cannot be rectified to the appropriate person.
• Record and maintain running specifications, adjust if required
• Improve/maintain production efficiency and quality
• Positive attitude, punctual, reliable with good team work skills
• Minimise down time and increase productivity
• Inspect mechanical components, documenting inspection results.
• Complete associated production records and reports.

 
 
Selection Criteria

• A strong commitment to safety.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role.
• 3+ years’ experience working as a Manufacturing Process Operator within a Heavy Industrial Manufacturing environment.
• Forklift licence
• A positive, proactive attitude coupled with good communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Sound mechanical aptitude.
• The ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Reliable with a good work ethic
• Current/valid Australian driver’s licence.
• Australian work rights.

 
 
What’s On Offer

• Permanent night shift, 6 pm to 4 am, Monday to Thursday
• A four day work week
• Training provided! – will be done in the morning shift
• $24.75 per hour plus 30% night shift loading.
