We are looking for a Procurement Manager to join our Team in Sydney. Supporting the production of our 3D machine vision products for the automotive and automation industries.
You will be results orientated, self-motivated, enjoy working on challenging problems and consider innovative solutions to those problems. You will show a flexible attitude and love working in a fast-paced start-up environment. You will also enjoy building and training your team.
Your role will involve, but not be limited to:
- ·Liaise with key company employees to determine their product and service needs
- Monitor business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times
- Nurture relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for company
- Identify and research potential new suppliers in line with short, medium and long term objectives
- Research new products and services to meet company's goals and leads the RUMBA across the business
- Assess total costs of company purchases using the total cost of ownership methodology
- Develop and implement strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock levels
- Oversee a cross functional team to develop and manage the ‘plan for every part’ and the ‘plan for every supplier’
You will need:
- Data analysis skills
- Management experience of a procurement team
- Superior communication and excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated, extensive experience in Supplier Relationship Management, risk management and supplier performance management
- Demonstrated ERP experience
- High level commercial acumen, ability to drive innovations and challenge conventional thinking
- Member of a professional procurement body (e.g. MCIPS), highly regarded
