The main function of this role is to assist the Operations Manager by doing duties in both the warehouse and the courier despatch office. This could be anything from moving stock on a forklift to answering calls and fielding enquiries. You will also be required to be a backup for adhoc despatch and other tasks as required in ensuring the operational functionality of the courier department.

You will be responsible for:

• Mobile Data Units - Maintain Mobile Data equipment
• Training and induction - for Belmont site and all hatch,1 & 2 Tonne vehicles for new subcontractors
• Despatch - Back up for adhoc despatch room and the allocation of jobs through computerised despatch system
• Job Bookings - Ensuring the correct information is put into job bookings
• Customers - Maintaining a relationship with clients & attending to their requirements in a timely manner
• Back up - Assist in the back up of staff on leave, sickness and at high volume times
• Warehouse responsibilities for major accounts in warehouse - Supervise daily operations for customers, resolving customer queries, charging and any other requirements associated with customers
• Forklift - putting away and moving stock
• Monthly Reporting - Prepare various monthly DIFOT reports for various National customers
• Any other duties as directed by management or supervisors

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Good written and verbal communication with strong Microsoft office experience
• Fork lift and high reach licences are a necessity for the warehouse work
• Discretion in all dealings
• Ability to work with minimal direction
• Rockhopper/FMS Screen Skills
• Experience in local direct delivery service, working with contract carriers and taxi trucks
