About the Role
Centurion Transport is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced manager to lead our Warehousing and Logistics team.
Reporting to the Executive General Manager - Operations, you will be responsible for:
- Commercial Management of the Warehousing and Logistic Operations (including high activity OSR operation)
- Provide Leadership to direct reports
- Challenge, set and drive KPI performance, monitor staffing levels and overtime
- Ensuring appropriate policies, procedures, and organisational structures are in place
- Applying continuous improvement practices
- Drive the business to deliver maximum financial returns and meeting overall budget forecasts
- Monitor quality, quantity, finances and efficiency of warehousing and movement of goods
- Build stakeholder relationships including customers, company departments and suppliers to improve supply chain efficiency and integrate logistics throughout the business
- Contribute to and create business development opportunities to gain new contracts through customer and supplier liaison and negotiation
You will have the below skills and qualifications:
- Extensive experience in large scale logistics operations and industry experience
- Degree Qualified in transport and logistics or other relevant degree
- Customer service focus
- Proven analytical and effective decision making skills
- Critical thinking and complex problem solving skills
- Leadership, mentoring, and managements skills
- Experience identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
