A newly created role now available for a motivated and highly adaptable Procurement Officer to join our High Capacity Metro Trains (HCMT) Project, which is a Victorian Government initiative and a $2.3 billion investment in Victoria’s rolling stock industry.
Reporting to the General Manager – Project Delivery, this role will administer purchasing and procurement activities for the project site while ensuring supplier compliance is met. The role will also involve site administration support such as assisting with resource overtime monitoring and reporting, providing support to managers for submitting expenses, organising team events, assisting with site inductions and organising PPE for new starters, and providing general administrative support to the project team.

ABOUT YOU
- Demonstrated procurement / site administration experience gained within a project environment.
- Knowledge of Procure to Pay (P2P) processes.
- High attention to detail and effective time management / organisational skills, coupled with well-developed verbal and written skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal customers and key external stakeholders.
- Previous exposure with SAP and / or JDE financial system would be advantageous.
- Self-motivated team player who is goal orientated.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to multitask and work within a fast-paced, ever changing environment.
- Intermediate/Advanced computer skills including Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- An attitude that engages all individuals by way of clear communication and effective interaction.
