Fencing - Production/Product/QC Manager.
The Company
Lion Fencing & Steel supplies is a leading manufacturer and supplier of high quality steel and aluminium fencing products. We manufacture predominantly in China, and export to our clients globally.
The Role
Due to our continued rapid growth, we are looking for an exceptional Production/Product/ QC Manager to join our growing team. Working closely with our China based factory managers and global sales team, you will build production plans, optimise factory efficiency and ensure our stringent quality control standards are upheld and continuously improved. You can be based anywhere globally, however you will travel regularly to China/Vietnam/India as well as to our clients locations. You will bring with you significant knowledge of fencing products and experience in the field of steel manufacturing. You will also be tenacious at optimising factory efficiency whilst collaborating effectively with co-workers and external stakeholders from diverse geographic and cultural backgrounds. Reporting directly to the GM, this is a senior role within our organisation.
Responsibilities
- Manage the timely, quality production of numerous types of fencing products at our China/Vietnam/India production facilities.
- Ensure that products are manufactured to schedule and budget.
- All aspects of Production management including adherence to budget and cost control.
- All aspects of Quality management.
Your KPIs will be based on ensuring that products are efficiently manufactured and shipped within planned timeframes, without quality being compromised.
Minimum Requirements
- 5 years’ experience in the production/manufacturing of steel/aluminium fencing products.
- Extensive knowledge of steel/aluminium fencing products.
- Demonstrated understanding of and expertise with the management of Quality Control systems, preferably in low cost countries.
- Large scale procurement and production experience.
- A high level of computer literacy (including metal fabrication software & scheduling tools).
Desirable Requirements
- Proficiency in Mandarin.
- Previous successful experience working within China, preferably within the same or a similar industry.
