Our client is a multinational International Freight Forwarder and due to business growth, they are now seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their Melbourne team.
This is a newly created role reporting directly to the Branch Manager. This positon will see you managing a range of portfolio accounts where you will use your strong Freight Forwarding knowledge to build and maintain client relationships, liaise with overseas agents and local partners to ensure cargo is moved in a timely and cost effective manner and within the clients' required deadlines. Quote on LCL, FCL and Airfreight shipments, source rates for LCL/local charges as well as maintain client rates.
This is a full time permanent position requiring a committed, reliable individual who understands the importance of a good work ethic and can bring a professional, friendly and helpful manner to a fast paced environment.
To be considered for this role, applicants must have Customer/Client Services experience gained specifically within an international freight forwarding environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a professional manner and the confidence to liaise directly with clients (face to face and over the telephone) are all essential for this position.
