We currently have an opportunity for an IBL Scheduler to be based at the ILC (Integrated Logistics Centre) in Laverton. The key function of the role is the production of safe, reasonable, achievable and legal schedules for the SDA and sub-contractor tanker fleet.  This is applicable to SDA Farm Pick-up and SDA bulk logistics Linehaul operations.

Key responsibilities
Chain of Responsibility

• Safety - Ensure all transport activities are undertaken in accordance with heavy vehicle legislative requirements and also corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and heavy vehicle legislative obligations
• Process - Ensure that all transport related activities are managed in accordance with corporate policies and procedures and manage reporting systems to demonstrate compliance to heavy vehicle transport legislation
• People - Aware of responsibilities for the implementation of heavy vehicle transport laws

Schedule production

• Production of farm milk collection and bulk logistics Linehaul schedules for the SDA regions using PLATO.  
• Collection of driver, vehicle and internal/external demand figures for schedule production
• Liaison with third party SDA transport contractors for allocation of bulk logistics Linehaul work
• Transmission of finalised schedule to MTC and generation of run sheets and associated paperwork for IBL sites
• Logging and updating of any temporary pick-up conditions in PLATO and communication to relevant SDA stakeholders

Fleet management

• High level monitoring of PLATO execution module and MT Data

Communications

• Taking and monitoring of inbound phone calls into the National Operations Centre using call monitoring software
• Frequent communication with IBL Regional Supervisors regarding schedule setup, creation and transmission

Systems Support and Master Data

• Updating of IBL systems master data in an accurate & timely manner, as required
• Escalation of system issues following support matrix in place

Reporting

• De-brief reporting at end of shift to management including identification of any issues
• Report generation and transmission as required Using Excel, Word, Plato & other applications, provide timely & professional reporting as directed

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum Year 12 completion
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Previous experience in dealing with sub-contractors and other third parties, managing of temporary events and previous experience in training and guidance of other staff
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel
• Experience in a busy scheduling and transport, logistics or supply chain environment
• Experience with integration across multiple systems
• Experience in operation of PLATO or another similar scheduling system
• Knowledge of Australian Driver Fatigue & Mass Management guidelines

Please note this is a 4 on, 4 off roster, 12 hour shifts with the requirement to work day & night shift, weekends and public holidays.

The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
