12-month fixed-term contract

Russell Mineral Equipment (RME) is a unique engineering design, technology and manufacturing company. Due to business growth, there is now an exciting opportunity for a Storesperson to join the Supply & Distribution department on a fixed-term contract basis for a period of 12 months.

The Storesperson’s key responsibilities and duties include:

• Assist with the receipt and issue of goods
• Ensure that transactions occur in a timely manner to meet agreed planning dates
• Complete appropriate documentation
• General pickups and deliveries on behalf of RME where required, within set timelines and in a manner that complies with company safety and transport procedures
• Work in conjunction with the Stores Team Leader to take ownership of the presentation and operational serviceability of trucks, forklifts, lift equipment and the warehouse facility

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

REQUIRED

1. Good organisational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks
2. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
3. Ability to work cooperatively while supporting other members of a team

DESIRABLE

1. Logistics and / or Warehousing qualification
2. Previous stores experience in Manufacturing, Production, Spare Parts or other related field
3. Basic mechanical knowledge
4. Ability to interpret engineering technical drawings

LICENCES

• Current QLD ‘C’ Class Open Driver’s Licence (required)
• Current Forklift Licence (required)
• Current QLD ‘MR’ Class Open Driver’s Licence (desirable)
