We are currently seeking a passionate dynamic Assembler to join our Manufacturing Company in our Head Office branch at Castle Hill.
Reporting to the Assembly Team Leader your primary responsibilities will be:
- Setting up and assembly of Bus Doors
- The assembly and wiring of simple electro-mechanical components and sub-assemblies
- You will need to have a sound knowledge on how to read and understand drawings as well as identify and source the different parts on each drawing for the bus door prior to fitting
We are looking for:
- An enthusiastic team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
- Sound experience with computers to search for drawings and components is essential and specific training will be provided
- We are after someone with a pro-active attitude and someone who is quite autonomous and can work without supervision and can put their hand up to duties outside the scope of this role
This role requires a lot of manual work and material handling; therefore:
- The ideal candidate will be someone who has had experience with warehouse or store person procedures
- The selected candidate will need to pass a pre-employment medical to fulfil the duties required of this role
- A fork lift license would be desirable but not essential, although walk behind forklift experience will be advantageous
There is opportunity for this role to migrate into other assembly roles within the section, and the successful candidate will need to be quite dynamic and be able to adapt to the SMC Factory environment.
