A leader in the Food and Beverage industry, based in the South Eastern Suburbs, requires an experienced Inventory Controller to work in their Maintenance department … SAP knowledge is a MUST.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, your role objective is to ensure that all ordered parts and materials are available as required by the business at all times. You will work closely with the Maintenance, Production and Procurement teams, external suppliers and contractors.
The role is responsible for the sourcing and purchasing of all spare parts and materials with a strong focus on cost reduction, timely deliveries and quality. The administration requirements include generating purchase orders, maintaining the documentation for all orders through SAP, perform regular inventory checks and stock reconciliations, raise claims for faulty equipment and parts and follow up on all outstanding orders.
Other tasks will include assisting the Maintenance team with cataloguing materials in SAP, maintain the Bill of Materials, prepare timely reports, follow up and report to the relevant teams regarding expected delayed deliveries and potential risks.
To be considered for this role, you must have previously worked in a similar inventory or procurement role using SAP - Manufacturing and Maintenance modules with a solid understanding of Microsoft Office. A general knowledge of engineering spare parts and terminology will also be required.
Your ability to effectively communicate with various Trade’s people, Senior and Department Managers, Suppliers and Contractors is crucial. You will be able to build and maintain rapport, manage your time effectively and be organised. You will be an active participant in training and continuous improvement activities, be adaptable and happy to participate and enjoy the process of change, continually seeking new innovative ideas and be prepared to make recommendations for future improvements.
