Join a industry leader as WHS Advisor for one of their plastic manufacturing facilities. This is a permanent position reporting directly to the Site Manager.
Client Details
My client is a highly dynamic and fast paced FMCG manufacturing company, and is seeking a WHS Advisor for one of their manufacturing sites based in Minto.
Description
Reporting to the Site Manager, the WHS Advisor’s will be responsible for providing support and expertise to ensure the health and safety of staff and compliance to regulatory and company safety requirements
Other key responsibilities include:
- Creating HSE initiatives that create, refresh and sustain the safety culture within the organisation
- Documenting and implementing HSE policies and procedures
- Conducting safety inductions
- Investigate workplace incidents and implement corrective action
- You will provide specialist advice, assistance and coaching to the staff to allow them to achieve their safety responsibilities
Profile
The successful candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualification in OHS or any relevant field
- A chemical engineering background or demonstrated experience in a high risk environment will be an advantage
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in supporting Health and Safety in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication, report writing and IT skills
- Proven experience in providing advice and training to managers and employees
- Strong Auditing experience
