With a bright and exciting future ahead of us, we are searching for an NPI Manager to join our high performing Health Supply Team. 

 

The NPI Manager reports to the Demand Planning Manager and is based in our brand new, state of the art offices in Sydney's CBD at World Square

 

This role is responsible for delivery of new products to ANZ markets to an agreed launch date. This is achieved by managing and balancing Commercial requirements with Supply capabilities, to deliver a product that is on time, to spec and sustainable

 

  • Project manage New Product Development (NPD) launches into the business with the support of the Commercial and Supply teams including contingency planning and resolving issues. 
  • Control the launch approval process by ensuring the initiatives are presented at the required critical path timings.
  • Be the Supply Lead for all projects taking full ownership of all deliverables, by holding all stakeholders accountable for their milestones within a project.
  • Have the ability to manage the expectations of the Commercial Business while ensuring the Supply Chain is being as responsive as possible, without putting timelines at risk.
  • Be the single point of contact between the Global Factories and the Commercial teams for all new product launches.
  • Liaise with Global Supply to ensure you are the functional leader within ANZ on NPD initiatives in your Category.
  • Develop over time technical, operational, manufacturing and regulatory knowledge of our products and supply plants, to allow you to be the subject matter expert in delivering your products to market.
  • Develop relationships with suppliers and deliver where appropriate improvements in responsiveness and supply efficiency. 
  • Management of residual stocks and packaging effectively during launch process and product transfer, including minimal write-off costs.
  • Harmonize SKUs between AU and NZ to ensure increased efficiency and avoid duplication.
  • Initiate and lead cost reduction and Margin Enhancement ideas with Supply Sites (programmes such as 'Squeeze' and 'Fuel').
  • Ensure materials supplied adhere to statutory regulations and that the company complies with the relevant governments and Trade bodies.

 

Is this You?

  • Tertiary qualifications in business would be desirable
  • At least 3 years' experience in Project Management within a blue chip FMCG  organisation
  • Commercial exposure and strong working understanding of end-to-end of Supply Chain
  • Able to work independently, pro-actively and be able to work in a direct and often pressurised environment
  • Good communication skills at all levels are essential as the role requires information from many sources, such as the Supply, Marketing, Sales, Senior Management as well as from external relationships
  • Ability to influence and demonstrate strong team working abilities
  • Achievement focussed and have entrepreneurial skills in terms of innovation and problem solving
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines
