Merchant Commodities is growing is national footprint.
We require an energetic individual to join our Altona-based team and assist with our expansion.
This is a "ground-floor" opportunity for someone with an interest in freight, logistics or shipping. You will be working in a small team who have significant experience with operations, marketing and cargo management. By ably assisting these managers, your experience will enable career enhancement into the many facets of our corporate group.
Your tasks will include data collation and entry, liaison with overseas suppliers, local contractors and our clients. Training will be provided both on-the-job as well as via third-party sources.
Ideally you are based in Melbourne's north-west; have a clean drivers-licence and can supply references as to your work ethic and character.
Experience in transport, shipping or logistics is preferred, but not essential: a generalist approach to tertiary education will be deemed favourable.
The right candidates will develop a proficiency in administration so that they can quickly develop operations skills and move into senior roles with autonomy.
The role requires Australian permanent residence as a pre-requisite. Intrastate travel is required as well as some limited interstate and overseas.
