Working as the Purchasing Assistant in this small and dedicated team you will be responsible for assisting with purchasing, reporting, receipting goods and transport/ logistics. Some of your actual duties will include;

• Review order confirmations, inform Purchasing Manager and IT Manager about pricing discrepancies, amend purchase orders if required
• Monitor and track purchase orders, update ETA’s
• Process shipping documents
• Receive stock into the system
• Apply updates and changes in operating system
• Assist with other administrative tasks as required

Skills and experience

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

• Advanced skills in in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel and mathematical skills
• Self driven and motivated and adaptable to change.
• Able to show initiative to work smarter and improve systems and processes.
• Strong self management and time management skills.
• Able to plan, schedule and prioritize workload. 
• Sound problem-solving skills and proven analytical skills to investigate and resolve transactional issues and to contribute to continuous improvement projects and review operational systems.

• Demonstrated organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with a capacity to prioritise competing demands and achieve results with a customer focused approach.
