Your role

Imagine the excitement of flying at low level across the ocean, leading a search and rescue mission, evacuating medical emergencies from the scene of a natural disaster, or intercepting a vessel engaged in illegal activity.

These are some of the many scenarios you'll encounter as a helicopter Pilot in the Navy.

When compared to civilian pilot training, learning to be a Navy Pilot is faster and better paid. Within six months of completing fixed wing training  you could have the skills to fly a helicopter; and when fully qualified will embark on exciting missions such as taking off from a warship to hunt down a hostile submarine.

You don’t have to be super-human to fly a state-of-the-art helicopter. It just takes a good combination of mental and physical agility plus the strength of character to overcome challenges and achieve ambitious goals.

The aircraft you’ll experience include:

·The EC135 – at the heart of our training program.

  • The Seahawk – our frontline helicopter, used to extend the combat capabilities of the warship on which it is stationed.

  • The MRH90 – fulfilling multi-purpose roles as diverse as search and rescue, medical evacuation and aerial mine disposal.

We’ll help you achieve the high levels of physical and mental fitness required for this rewarding role. And in return for your commitment, you’ll enjoy work variety and career opportunities you simply won’t find in civilian aviation.

So are you ready for an action-packed aviation challenge complete with an amazing lifestyle? Then apply now (below).
