About this opportunity
Our Transport & Logistics division require an experienced HR driver based in Kewdale to provide safe and efficient pick-up and delivery of freight for local driving. This role requires hard working people with excellent customer service skills.
The applicant that is going to be successful with us, is one who has had previous experience in a similar role and is driven to make this role their own. They must be highly motivated and has a passion for health and safety. The right person for the job, will be career orientated.
Key Duties
- Ensuring the safe transport and loading of goods including strapping down of loads, correct loading procedures and manual handling techniques
- Delivering back freight as required to suppliers and customers
- Collecting freight from suppliers and bring back to depot for offloading
- Following all requirements in displaying correct signage and completing Dangerous Goods paperwork, if relevant
- Ensuring that pre-start safety checks are completed on the vehicle
Skills, qualifications & experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ driving experience in a similar role
- Full HR driving licence, where a DG ticket will be advantageous, although not essential
- A commitment to the group values and group safety commitment
- Tech savvy and able to operate a tablet
- Develop effective working relationships with customers and your peers will be critical
