Conveyor Belt Production Machine Operators

We now operate 24 hours, 7 days a week and we currently have multiple permanent opportunities for Conveyor Belt Production Machine Operators at our Kwinana manufacturing plant.
 
4 day week rosters available (Day and Night Shift). Additional voluntary overtime available during busier periods which may include weekends. 
 
Reporting to the Production Supervisor you will be responsible for operating equipment used to manufacture rubber conveyor belts used in mining and industrial applications. This is a hands’ on and fast paced position that will require you to act and learn quickly and be prepared to roll up your sleeves to deliver results.
 
Key responsibilities of the role include: 

• Contributing to the company's overall safety objective of "100% Safe Behaviours and Conditions Today" by; actively reporting any near miss, hazards or incidents.
• Operating Conveyor Belt Production machinery in line with operating procedures and instructions.
• Monitoring in-process quality and correcting any non-conformances.
• Completing production records and reports.  

To be successful in this position you will need to meet the following criteria

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a machine operator in a heavy industrial manufacturing operation.
• Ability to demonstrate practical knowledge of manufacturing and QA/QC practices.
• Demonstrate a good mechanical and problem solving aptitude.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and verbal as well as the ability to interpret numerical data and information.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Be flexible to work overtime, day or night shift roster when requested
• Punctuality and reliability, team fit and your ability to follow instructions are all crucial
• Ability to demonstrate a focus on best practice, continuous improvement and customer service
• Overhead crane experience is an advantage, but not essential to be successful in this role.
• Hold a current Worksafe forklift licence.
• Have an excellent safety ethos
