We are looking for a produciton superivsor for our site based in Office. This role involves many difference aspects, we are loooking for someone which a great attitude and a cuttent FL licence. The hours will be Monday to Friday 2pm-10pm.

Key Accountabilities:

• Oversee the manufacture & packing of textured, extruded and palleted product as per the production schedule
• Oversee personnel to ensure they are performing their respective roles to a satisfactory level.
• Ensure manufacturing details are recorded on daily production report.
• Ensure all tasks are completed safely (eg: wearing of PPE as required) & efficiently.
• Maintain a clean & tidy environment (ie: all areas including outside) at all times.
• Address & report any unsafe actions when observed

Key Duties:

• Allocate personnel to cover all positions (ie: micronizer, extruder, batching, powders & packing).
• Provide completed manufacturing documents to Production Manager daily.
• Arrange coverage for when personnel on breaks/leave.
• In conjunction with Production Manager, select & train relevant personnel.
• Arrange stock takes of raw materials & packaging for Production Manager as requested.
• Ensure scheduled cleaning is performed & details are recorded on cleaning log.
• Analyse tomorrow’s production schedule to see if we have enough raw materials & empty bags.

Job Specific Duties:

• Ensure micronized & flaked grains are tested for moisture content on an ongoing basis.
• Ensure a retention sample of every production run is collected, recorded & placed in retention box.
• Ensure scheduled scale checks are performed & details are recorded on scale check log.
• Ensure scheduled magnet cleaning is performed & details are recorded on magnet cleaning log.
• Ensure traceability of raw materials is maintained (ie: check batch number recording is done).
• Ensure cleanliness of Textured Feed Mill (including office, micronizing, hand tip, powders, all upstairs levels, inside & outside of building and the oil unloading area) at all times

Other Specific Duties:

• Once a production run is completed, then the stage report is to be reconciled against the number of bags packed out. If the two counts don’t match then contact the Production Manager.
• Once a box is full of retention samples, place it in the retention sample container in warehouse 3.
• In the event that product is not to specification, stop manufacturing & advise Production Manager.
• Any product out of specification is to be labelled, isolated & Quality Officer advised asap.
• In the event of any mechanical, or electrical problems liaise with the Production Manager.
• Make suggestions to improve plant and equipment so greater efficiencies can be achieved.
• When bagging micronized grains ensure bagging sieve end plate and chute slide gate are removed/replaced as required.
• When micronizing Micrbeet ensure top deck of micrgrain sieve is removed/replaced as required.

Any other tasks as requested by your supervisor/manager.
