Hume Building Products, Australia's largest privately-owned supplier of construction and building materials are looking for experienced and reliable Warehouse people to join our team in our Melbourne Preston store to provide exceptional customer service by distributing goods to our valued customers. Duties for this role include:
- Manual order picking/ packing with heavy lifting
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods from trucks on a daily basis
- Hand packing and dispatching product for deliveries
- Unpacking pallets, crates, container and stocking shelves with material as needed
- Forklift driving with a sense of safety in mind at all times
- General labour work
To be considered for this role you must have:
- Physical fitness and stamina is a must as the position involves repeated heavy lifting
- An understanding and appreciation of WHS
- The ability to work as part of a team
- A valid Australian driver's license
- Current Fork Lift licence and some experience in fork lift operation
- Good attention to detail
- Able to take directions
- Ability to speak a second language will be an advantage
- Able to pass a drug and alcohol test if requested
We offer a permanent, full-time role based at our Preston store in Melbourne to start ASAP. The role requires every second Saturday weekend work and in return for this, you will receive a competitive salary based on experience and forklift experience and licence. We also offer all relevant leave, plus super, as well as ongoing training and great opportunities for career progression.
