The opportunity?
As part of Toll Group’s new growth strategy our equipment and design team is becoming a critical focus. Vehicles and machinery play a major role in our global operations. We are embarking on a journey to streamline and centralize our strategic equipment procurement, this role will have significant impact on that change. Toll is constantly upgrading heavy vehicle fleets, medium rigid vehicles, trailer sets, company utes and intermodal equipment. You will play a vital role advising Toll stakeholders on equipment selection and managing suppliers build and deliver on schedule.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities will include:
- Leading design and manufacture process for multiple concurrent orders across various equipment
- Pro-active engagement of internal stakeholders to successfully advise on design and build process
- Provide quotations and commercial analysis around new fleet costing or replacement equipment
- Ensuring all safety, engineering, maintenance, and training documentation is accurate and supplied
- Provide insight into current market trends, innovation and relevant new technology
The ideal candidate?
This role requires specialist knowledge associated to prime movers, trailers, light vehicles and industrial equipment. If you have a mechanical qualification or trade you will be strongly considered. You will possess superior negotiation and influencing skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong stakeholder management focus. Commercially astute and strategic in approach you will have a successful track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
