Description
You will be a key driver of continuous improvement initiatives at a national level, with the aim of delivering best in practice supply chain solutions for key customers. Your key accountability's will include:
- Adopt a safety first mindset to all aspects of operational performance, leadership and decision making
- Provide leadership, planning and management capability for the systematic, process and data driven resolution customer related continuous improvement opportunities and escalated service issues
- Use a combination of Project / Program management and Continuous Improvement (CI) tools/techniques to validate issues, identify root causes, develop corrective actions and implement change
- Engaging with senior (C-suite) stakeholders with our key customers as well as senior internal team members
- Lead and drive collaboration across the overall business operations to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes
- Where necessary, support cultural change that embraces Continuous Improvement through LEAN/Six Sigma tools and methodologies
Profile
To be considered for this role, you will have at least 5 years experience leading the implementation of CI projects, specifically within Warehousing and Transport. As well as this, the following skills and experience are expected:
- Tertiary education - preferably Logistics and Supply Chain
- Six Sigma black belt
- Previous experience in a customer facing role
- Ability to build strong working relationships with customers, peers, project team members and senior management
- Experience in delivering change and sustainable improvement in a unionised environment
