An exciting opportunity has become available in our maritime sustainment business. As the Maintenance Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for delivering maintenance availabilities, from initial planning to completion of all post maintenance activity and to act as the liaison with the ships staff to organise work flow and schedules.

In more specific terms, you will:

  • Lead the Integrated Delivery Team to deliver contracted activity to schedule and cost
  • Deliver maintenance availabilities, from initial planning to completion of all post maintenance planning activity
  • Oversee the compilation and reconciliation of work packages for maintenance periods, ensuring that they contain adequate information and that the work is scheduled to allow completion of all maintenance planning activities
  • Monitor the progress against the schedule, level and quality of the service delivery and report to the project  manager if any failures are likely to occur
  • Co-ordinate the overall maintenance requirement input to the maintenance programme
  • Deliver the activities to ensure the relevant Key Performance Indicators in the contract are met
  • Liaise with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to determine the maintenance and repair requirements before issuing the work to the nominated service provider
  • Assist with the development of future maintenance policies

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • A degree or associate diploma and relevant technical and management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in the conduct and management of maritime maintenance
  • Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong initiative and an ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in order to deliver results within a project environment
  • Sound commercial skills and acumen along with the ability to negotiate at all levels
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining customer relationships and to manage and influence where required
  • Experience in leading a project team with the ability to foster a high level of engagement
  • Strong planning, analysis and problem solving skills

 

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
