We are Kalari. We are a leading provider of large-scale complex logistics and mining solutions. With over 30 years' experience, we are Australia's most innovative and prominent specialist bulk logistics provider.
We are seeking a talented Operations Supervisor to join the Kalari team, based in our Portland, Victoria depot. Reporting to the Operations Manger, this role will help deliver on the operating plan, ensuring operational excellence and safe and compliant operation.
Key aspects of this role include:
- A commitment to Zero Harm
- Day to day supervision and co-ordination of the team and deliveries to customers
- Conducting on-site risk assessments to ensure customer sites comply with HSSE requirements
- Building effective relationships with all company stakeholders (drivers, customers and other team members)
- Complete and collect required paperwork and documentation for deliveries
- Liaise with customers on work schedules and workshops on all service and breakdown issues
- Visit operation sites on a regular basis to ensure compliance, HSSE and service levels are being met
- Report interpretation and action
To be successful in this role, it is essential that candidates have:
- Ability to manage multiple demands under pressure and prioritise accordingly within time constraints in a dynamic operating environment
- Be computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Clear written and verbal communication skills – ability to write clearly and complete documentation well
- Strong analytical thinker with an ability to make concise and effective decisions
- The ability to cope with an ever-changing environment
- Previous supervisory experience in the road transport and logistics industry preferred
