Metropolitan Express Transport Services is a privately owned local transport business. The company has been trading since 1986 and as its name suggests is dedicated to supplying local transport solutions.

Due to growth in our business, we have available an exciting & unique Site Supervisor role to manage the day to day operation at one of our transport contracts based in Sydney's Western Suburbs.

Reporting directly to the State Operations Manager, you will be "a hands on" person who can lead a team to ensure safe, efficient and timely outcomes are achieved. The ability to develop and maintain customer relationships based on a thorough understanding of the customer's business, expectations and requirements will be essential to your success.

You will be responsible for the operational activities of the designated site; ensuring corporate objectives in regards to the areas of service and employee performance are being met. You will also ensure compliance of the corporate OH&S standards of both our company and our client are maintained.

This position will suit someone with extensive experience and knowledge within the transport industry and is well versed in safety practices and procedures, load limits, Basic Fatigue Management (BFM), oversize loads and driving restrictions.

Key Responsibilities and focus areas (but not limited to) the following:

• Ensure safety and legislative requirements are adhered to
• Maintain optimal efficiencies in yard flow and movement of freight
• Enable and deliver effective communications to employees (Toolbox talks, Team meetings)
• Ensure compliance across the fleet with accreditations/licences and road safety compliance (CoR)
• Monitoring and reporting on various KPIs
• Strong Analytical Skills
• Profit & Loss accountability

You will be required to meet our company's employment criteria which will include but not be limited to a Criminal History Check and full medical with a drug and alcohol test.
