Your role with us..

Our Apprentice Electrical Fitters will work under the direct supervision of the company’s Trade Qualified Fitters and Electrical Engineer gaining practical experience in the company’s products. Apprentices will be required to participate in a formal apprenticeship scheme, as a result of the apprenticeship program the individual will become familiar with motor control, NEC Code, PLC’s, and gain experience with low and medium voltage. The individual will gain knowledge of electronics and strong knowledge of Federal, state, and local electrical codes, electrical theory, motor control. This individual must be mechanically inclined and have the ability to trouble shoot electrical problems.

Requirements for success in the role:

• Has and keen an interest in the field of Electrotechnology
• Applies themselves to work and study
• Has the ability to understand and carry out directions from line managers and other responsible persons
• Maintains a high level of respectable appearance and manners at all times
• Is self motivated and willing to learn from more experienced team members
• Has a strong work ethic and an ethical approach to the business operations
• Is mechanically and electrically adept and knows how to safely use tools and equipment
• Has a basic understanding in Electrotechnology and knowledge of electrical wiring and systems
• Understands and follows correct material handling processes
• Has a strong customer service attitude and manner; communicates easily and clearly; is polite and cordial in all customer interactions

To be considered for this role you must:

• Be willing to partake or continue in a formal apprenticeship program
• Hold a current drivers licence with the confidence and ability to operate manual vehicles
• Hold a valid construction general induction card, e.g. white card or blue card
• Be physically fit and capable to perform all required duties
• The ability to safely use and operate powered and non-powered tools
• Basic computer literacy
• Great communication both verbal and non-verbal
