Entry Level Environmental Scientist  - ERM Newcastle

ERM is currently recruiting for a Entry Level Environmental Scientist to join our Site Investigation and Risk Assessment team on a Fixed Term - 12 month contract, based in the ERM Newcastle office; ideally you will be available immediately. 

Role Profile

  • Executing environmental assessments involving the collection of field data (soil, groundwater and air)
  • Providing inputs into environmental reports
  • Supervise field work and subcontractors on site
  • Assist with the preparation of client proposals

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (geology, hydrogeology or relevant environmental science degree)
  • Building effective working relationships with clients, project teams, disciplines and business units;
  • Previous consulting experience not required but highly desirable
  • High appreciation and understanding of Health & Safety standards
  • Proven report writing skills
  • Fieldwork experience involving data collection highly desirable (soil, water, biota, ect)
  • Willingness to work in remote areas if necessary for an extended period of time
  • Experience providing completed tasks and inputs into elements of projects and/or proposals;
  • Understanding ERM's focus sectors, practices, products and services
