As the Principal Strategic Growth Area Planner your key responsibilities include preparing and implementing Growth Area Strategies for Cardinia Shire and coordinating strategic planning projects including the preparation of Precinct Structure Plans, strategies and policies to guide the development of Cardinia’s growth areas. You will also have key involvement in industry groups that shape the future planning for growth areas.
To be successful in this role you will have a tertiary qualification in planning or related discipline as well as several years’ experience in strategic planning. Well-developed knowledge and understanding of the social, economic, environmental and political context of growth area planning issues and the ability to work autonomously are essential to this position.
The role is based at the Cardinia Civic Centre in Officer, Victoria, an exciting new workspace in the heart of one of Melbourne’s most dynamic and innovative municipalities.
