The role of Senior Change Manager is a great opportunity to be part of the broader Business Transformation Function existing to support major organisational change initiatives.  You will be responsible for development, implementation and championing of change management strategies which will be executed through communications, people, culture and processes, leading the ongoing commitment to embed change.

As a practical and tactical Change leader, you will be a collaborative individual, who can deploy an appropriate engagement style tailored to your audience, whilst driving and influencing change initiatives at an Enterprise Level.

On a day to day basis, your accountabilities will include:
  • Developing the Change Management Framework at an Enterprise level
  • Acting as the Change expert/lead across high level organisational transformation projects
  • Collaborating with project leaders and sponsors to establish change impacts and develop strategies to mitigate risks
  • Engaging with key stakeholders in a complex matrix structure to support change initiatives and project delivery outcomes
  • Building relationships with business subject matter experts engaging them through the change implementation phases of projects
  • Developing of change management measurement, evaluation and reporting tools
  • Development & writing of change communication plans and strategies
  • Understanding the context of transformation projects with consideration to dependency management and risk management
  • Engaging with functional teams across HR, Learning and Training to capture training needs resulting from change
The ideal candidate will be a Tertiary qualified Change Management Professional.  You will bring a significant level of strategic, practical and tactical change management expertise (minimum 10 years plus).  Key to your experience is a demonstrated track record of developing, delivering and implementing change management strategic initiatives within a complex environment.

You will have broad transformation project exposure where your change expertise is deployed to minimise impacts to people, processes and systems through proven change initiatives.  Your strong hands-on experience gained within large scale commercial or government environments will be pivotal to your success in this role.  Defence industry exposure will also be highly regarded.

Critical to success in this role, will be your ability to demonstrate skills in:
  • “Contemporary” and “Best Practice” change management principles and concepts which are practical
  • Experience in development and implementation of Enterprise level Change Strategies & Change Frameworks
  • Managing, implementing, facilitating, delivering and evaluating of change initiatives
  • Highly developed written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Managing multiple stakeholders and gaining credibility at a peer and leader level
  • Six Sigma/Lean methodology driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Driving and championing strategic organisational and change initiatives as the subject matter expert
  • Embedding and monitoring of change success on an ongoing basis
  • Leading small project teams within a matrix environment

Candidates will work from Macquarie Park offices.  Please note that this role will require regular travel to Canberra.

Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain Australian Department of Defence security clearance.  In addition, this role requires national and some international travel.
