Our client is an industry pioneering Customer Analytics consultancy, who are disrupting the Australian market through delivering innovative, high profile, strategic projects that transform the way organisations engage and optimise experience for large customer bases. With a number of high profile projects underway and some exciting new clients coming on board we are looking to recruit a Analytics Lead / Lead Data Scientist to join the team and take ownership for the continued delivery against one of their most successful programmes of work.

With the key focus on delivering client driven customer insights, predictive modelling, data science and machine learning projects the responsibilities of the role will include: 

• Leading external client engagements to consult around analytical project requirements, mapping out appropriate methodologies, negotiating key project deliverables, presenting solutions and proving business value.
• Leading the delivery of analytics projects to uncover compelling insights into customer acquisition, retention and growths strategy (requires SQL, SAS, R or Python skills). 
• Leading the delivery of a range of advanced analytics projects leveraging techniques that may include; Customer propensity/regression modelling (churn, acquisition, cross sell), segmentation analysis (cluster, k-means), marketing campaign analytics (targeting, reporting etc), hypothesis testing, customer lifetime value analysis, next best offer analysis, decision trees, neural networks, etc. (requires SQL, SAS R or Python analyst skills), text mining and NLP, etc. 
• Leading a team of highly skilled Data Scientists (delivering thought leadership, work flow management, solution trouble shooting, best practice coaching, etc).  

The successful applicant will come from a strong background working in an advance analytics / data science environment and will be able to demonstrate:

• Strong client/stakholder engagement skills with the abilityconsult around analytical project requirements, mapping out appropriate methodologies, negotiating key project deliverables, presenting solutions and proving business value.  
• Strong team leadership with experience delivering thought leadership, work flow management, solution trouble shooting, best practice coaching, etc 
• Commercial experience building a range of statistical models relating to customer marketing strategy (Acquisition, retention, growth) or credit risk analytics (scorecard development and validation) 
• Strong technical skills and experience using Python, R and SQL to extract, manipulate and model large customer behavioural or transactional data set from a variety of source systems. With experience in Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Hive, etc proving highly advantageous.
• Educated to a minimum of degree level in an analytical discipline such as - Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Actuarial Studies, Data Science, Computer Science etc.
• Experience implementing analytical techniques and concepts that include; Customer propensity modelling (churn, acquisition, cross sell), segmentation analysis (k-means, cluster), best practice marketing campaign analytics, hypothesis testing, price modelling and optimisation, customer lifetime value analysis, next best offer analysis, decision trees, neural networks, etc. (requires Python, R or SAS modelling skills)
