Where you fit
We are looking for a new team member or team members who have either recently graduated university or have a couple of years of professional skills in a consulting, public policy or advisory environment.
You are a team player, and are able to work both independently and as part of project teams to shape the advice we provide our clients. You have a strong set of professional skills – written and verbal communication skills, research and analytical skills – and are excited about the prospect of building upon these in a dynamic consulting environment. You consider critical analysis and lateral thinking as two of your sharpest professional tools. You are flexible, adaptable, and demand your work is both fun and professionally rewarding.
You have a at least a Bachelor’s degree in a field that would allow you to work effectively in an economics-centric advisory environment. This doesn’t necessarily mean you hold an economics degree or have worked in economics, but we see our point of difference as being able to bring a level of critical thinking and rigour to our work that is firmly grounded in economic analysis.
Much of our work relies on an ability to bring together data and more qualitative research. High level Microsoft Excel skills are a must, and if you are able to bring additional analytical skills (for example in R or other software packages) then that is a plus.
Within the Perth office, we see you working across all aspects of advisory portfolio, including development of methodologies and proposals, gathering and analysing information, report writing, and stakeholder and client engagement. In particular, we would envisage you assisting on and helping to build upon our financial and economic modelling capabilities, or our policy capabilities in the health and human services, agriculture, and transport and infrastructure sectors.
As a national firm there are opportunities to work on major national advisory projects for both public and private sectors.
