The CompanyOur client is a highly respected professional Environmental and Engineering Consultancy serving the transport, water, property and energy sectors. They deliver sound solutions on complex and iconic projects to a range of private and public sector clients. In their Environmental division, they work across areas such as environmental planning and approvals, construction environmental management and environmental input into detailed design.
Responsabilities
The main responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Statutory planning assessments and advice for projects
- Assists with co-ordination of planning and environmental approvals processes for a diverse range of projects
- Assist with managing projects or components of projects, taking responsibility for resource allocation, managing subcontractors, quality assurance and client feedback and ensuring effective communication of any changes/modifications
- Assists with co-ordination and/or management of land use planning and allied environmental inputs associated with large infrastructure projects
- Liaison with clients, internal specialists and sub-consultants, Commonwealth and State Government Departments, Agencies and Local Councils
- Maintaining an understanding of the background of the client’s business and industry to facilitate building effective and enduring relationships and consolidating both company and personal credibility in the industry
- Engaging in Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
- Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time by your manager or the company.
- Ensuring you are familiar and compliant with Health and Safety regulations and guidelines
- Relevant degree and in statutory planning
- 4-5 years relevant experience, with a sound understanding of statutory planning and environment approvals and the broad legislative and policy frameworks in Victoria
- Interstate or overseas experience an advantage
- Knowledge and experience working with local and state regulators and other approval agencies
- Project management, problem solving and project delivery skills
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Ability to prepare clear and concise written reports
- Ability to work across multiple projects concurrently and work within multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience working on multidisciplinary infrastructure projects an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
